Hello

I am Norberto I. Estanislao IV, a gastroenterologist based in Quezon City, Philippines.  I have a strong commitment to colon cancer prevention and early detection. I employ techniques such as Image Enhanced Endoscopy, and Endoscopic resection of tumors aiming to make significant strides in preventing this potentially deadly disease.  I have also been trained in diagnosis and management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

A Dream

My journey as a gastroenterologist has been marked by continuous learning and advancement.  I dedicated myself to learning up to date techniques in endoscopy such as image-enhanced endoscopy and endoscopic resection of precancerous tumors. These techniques have been instrumental in my pursuit to provide the best care for my patients, particularly in the early detection and treatment of gastrointestinal tumors.

Continuing to train in diagnostic colonoscopy, enhanced my ability to detect subtle lesions and changes often missed by traditional endoscopic teachings.  I also learned to recognize surface patterns of lesions using image enhanced endoscopy reinforcing my proficiency to detect subtle lesions with precancerous potential.

I devoted myself to continue training advanced resection techniques that would provide me with the skills to resect early lesions saving the patient from more aggressive surgical treatment for non cancerous lesions.  This minimally invasive approach has been pivotal in treating patients with a high risk of developing cancer, thereby playing a crucial role in cancer prevention.

My experiences with these advanced endoscopic techniques laid the groundwork for my interest in Artificial Intelligence. I began to envision how AI could further enhance diagnostic capabilities and treatment precision. The idea of integrating AI into endoscopic procedures sparked a new passion in me, igniting a desire to explore how technology could revolutionize patient care in gastroenterology.

As I embarked on this new venture, I found myself at the intersection of medical expertise and technological innovation.

My goal became clear: to develop an AI-assisted system that could complement and augment the skills I had acquired. Such a system could potentially transform the landscape of colon cancer screening and treatment, offering unparalleled accuracy and efficiency.

Today, as I navigate this exciting new field, my journey is guided by a commitment to blending the best of medical techniques with the latest in AI technology.  It's a path that promises not only to advance my practice but also to bring about a new era in healthcare, where technology empowers us to save more lives and improve patient outcomes more effectively than ever before.
